Position Summary
This role involves working closely with the UK Brand Partnerships and Creative teams. The two main areas the Commercial Digital Producer will be responsible for are: Firstly, the digital production of client campaigns from approval through to launch. This includes idea generation, pre-sales proposals, development of production plans and wireframes, tracking budgets, managing all elements of digital production through its lifecycle and providing post-launch traffic and data reporting.Secondly, coordinating and ensuring all Discovery content is scheduled for DTO (Download to Own) platforms (Amazon, iTunes, Google Play and Xbox) and tracking each delivery from planning to completion.
Ideally the Commercial Digital Producer must have experience in creating exciting and results driven cross platform campaigns and a naturally proven understanding of 360 Branded Partnerships is preferred.
Responsibilities:
• Design briefing and liaison with Creative Design Manager, Graphic Designer and Creative Manager across Portfolio of sites.
• Concepting, building and full project management of bespoke digital hubs across a variety of CMS.
• Co-coordinating with the Social Media Producer for sponsored content and competitions.
• Working alongside the Digital Ad Sales manager to mock-up, generate ideas for briefs both cross platform and digital only.
• Requesting and implementing tracking across digital content.
• Provide post-launch campaign summaries including traffic & data reporting. Full PCAs required post each campaign.
• Must be able to utilise in-house CMS (WordPress) and third party platforms.
• In depth analysis of brand awareness for activity across Discovery platforms, social and any client branded activity running across sites.
• Ensure all material delivered is on brand, meets tech specs and is legally compliant. This includes liaising with the compliance and legal team.
• With the channel planners ensuring that all content scheduled for DTO is approved and in line with latest schedule changes
• For operations team - responsible for communicating upcoming deliveries and tracking each delivery from planning to completion
• For DTO platforms including iTunes, Google Play and Amazon – in place to conduct monthly meetings with each platform addressing deliveries and on store promotion.
• Create delivery plans for each series, pulling required metadata from Discovery’s scheduling system (IBMS and Hive).
• Ensure all new planned deliveries are rights checked and cleared for the relevant platforms.
• Request artwork required to deliver all new series to each platform.
• Co-ordinate the delivery of content working closely with the relevant VOD coordinators.
Requirements:
Essential
• Minimum 2 years’ experience in commercial digital production
• Experience of web content production through CMS platforms
• Experience in social media, as well as latest technological advances and how to monitor commercial campaigns.
• Experience working closely with internal and external stakeholders incl. Ad Sales, editorial, production, external agencies, and clients.
• Good understanding of ad scheduling, ad formats and digital integration
• Good understanding of HTML trouble-shooting and strong technical background preferred
• Being able to recognize, report and test bugs to technical team
• Proven track record in creating compelling and engaging promotional content for digital platforms
• Strong editorial experience, able to demonstrate high level of editorial judgment
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, and Adobe programs
• Strong understanding of AVID and video editing software
• Experience of Google Analytics is essential
• Experience of delivering content to online video platforms

• Experience of delivering TV content to iTunes
• Knowledge of the EMA avails standard and XML
• Understanding of rights & clearances in a TV environment
