Summary
Hi, we're Yelp Eat24 and we’re hiring a Senior advertising/marketing/branding/everything Designer to help us take our brand to the next level and make stuff that looks amazing. The right person for the job will have experience designing compelling and cohesive content for print, digital, broadcast, and even hypothetical future mediums that nobody knows about yet.
You probably also have a profound love of food, laugh more often than you do most other things (like yelling or crying, for example), and are generally a nice person.
Bonus points if you’re already familiar with and passionate about our brand, but nobody’s perfect ;)
Responsibilities:
• Generate creative ideas within a team of Taco Evangelists and Super Friends (Yelp Eat24 Marketing Department).
• Assist with the design, content, and production of all marketing materials, including: outdoor ads, infographics, emails, posters, handouts, postcards, promotions, newsletters, digital ads, direct response and other collateral.
• Develop creative to build the Yelp Eat24 brand.
• Assist to ensure all marketing communications across various channels and departments remain consistent and align with strategic marketing goals.
• Partner with other designers, copywriters, engineers, and marketing managers to ensure quality in all aspects of campaign execution.
Requirements:
• A serious work ethic, thick skin, and no fear (we put this on top for a reason)
• An artistic eye for food. You know how to make even a bowl of chili look sexy
• The belief that business goals and beautiful design are not mutually exclusive
• You transition effortlessly from crafting flawless digital Picassos, to clumsily Photoshopping Rihanna’s face on a burrito
• At least 4 years experience in an agency or in-house environment.
• Strong portfolio that shows expertise across print, digital, typography, and iconography. Experience doing interface design is a plus.
• Proficiency in Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, InDesign, Sketch, freehand illustration skills and the flexibility and willingness to learn any new tools as needed.
• You know the rules of design and are not afraid to smash them to pieces (when appropriate).
No need to send us a long cover letter with a bunch of jargon (we will definitely ignore those), but please do send us your resumé with a brief note explaining why we’d be crazy not to hire you, and a link to your portfolio.
Do you have an Instagram? Twitter? Tumblr? Blog? Whatever? No big deal if you don’t, but if you do, we’d love to see it.
Pursuant to the San Francisco Fair Chance Ordinance, we will consider for employment qualified applicants with arrest and conviction records.
