High Level Job Description: Reporting into our Corporate Finance group, this role is responsible for leading and initiating high visibility, enterprise-wide initiatives with a primary focus on driving value through financial system assessment, strategic roadmap creation, and other initiatives aimed at delivering on the priorities for the global finance organization. The VP, Global Financial Systems will report directly to the SVP, Corporate Finance, Controls & Process Transformation. Clients will include all identified senior stakeholders including corporate executives, market and label CFOs, audit and board committee members, and any additional senior executives impacted by financial initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assess current state of global financial systems capabilities
• Conduct meetings and interviews with key stakeholders to understand current landscape of financial systems and processes
• Facilitate cross-functional sessions to define and document high level business requirements and project scope for improved financial systems
• Lead collaborative efforts for business case and/or Financial System roadmap development
• Develop detailed work plans, direct project teams, deliver status, meet deadlines, manage to budget, meet or exceed quality standards
• Charter and prioritize program and project initiatives in conjunction with label CFOs and affiliate leadership
• Guide Corporate Finance leadership team through problem definition, issue identification and work plan development using problem solving principles
• Guide Corporate Finance and Technology team through point of departure documentation and point of arrival design of processes, related organization/role design and enabling technologies
• Assist in the development of metrics used to track value delivery
• Identify opportunities where redundancies exist between business capabilities and financial systems to drive efficiency
• Liaise with technology stakeholders in project management, architecture and governance to ensure alignment and smooth integration of process output within the existing technology infrastructure
• Provide regular status updates to executive leadership team
Requirements:
• 10+ years in Corporate Finance Transformation role and/or related business discipline for a large, multi-national organization
• Bachelor’s degree in finance, technology or related field a must. Master’s or accreditation a plus
• Experience in an executive leadership role leading change within a corporate finance team
• Transformational leadership experience a must
• Experience developing business cases / roadmaps
• Some technology experience and/or experience working with technology team to create business requirements for financial systems
• Strong knowledge of enterprise financial applications to support aforementioned project initiatives
• Experience operating in global markets (EMEA, APAC, LatAm) a plus
• Ability to adapt to changing and competing priorities
• Experience presenting strategy, updates, reports, and challenges to senior leadership (CFO, CIO/CTO),
• Media or entertainment experience preferred
• Extensive program management experience, working with internal and external cross-divisional team members, preferably with IS projects
• Ability to work effectively in a matrix organization structure with significant emphasis on collaboration and persuasion, rather than relying entirely on command and control
• Strong communication skills with ability to communicate effectively with both Finance Vice-President leaders and technical teams
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills
• Demonstrated ability to define, recruit, manage, engage and develop a high performing team
• Good business acumen and negotiation skills
• Strong organizational capabilities to manage multiple priorities
