Job Description:

Position Objective:
To present concepts, imagery and design that represents WEA, ADA, WMG and all related labels as companies who are dedicated to aesthetic integrity, high quality and excellence in all that we produce. This position requires a bold, take-charge attitude, works efficiently in a fast-paced environment, and possesses strategic thinking and strong conceptual abilities. The designer is expected to produce thoughtful and visually appealing products and artwork for marketing campaigns, presentation decks, promotional products, magazine ads, merchandise, social media tools, training tools and other printed materials. Strong willingness to develop and expand skill set in areas of design, merchandise, music, digital and entertainment areas a plus.
Job Responsibilities:
• Support all divisions of WEA, ADA and WMG with creative, thoughtful and stimulating art direction and design execution.
• Understand and implement brand strategy for WEA, ADA and WMG: logos, one sheets, signage and banners.
• Interface with a variety of internal clients to deliver creative, clear and concise feedback related to design plans and campaigns.
• Work closely with Vice President, Creative Services and the other designers on the team to assure design integrity on all stages of a project.
• Create advertising & sales layouts (ads, one sheets, email blasts, convention signage, etc.) relating to music to spotlight WEA, its label family, and its top-selling projects.
• Manipulate graphics as per request (scanning, retouching, color correction, file conversion).
• Develop and administer style guidelines for new branding initiatives.
• Design and install art for office and event spaces.
• Provide packaging designs for multi-artist, multi-label and catalog releases.
• Prepare and collect files for production.
• Traffic projects through approvals, production and distribution.
• Work closely with project managers to ensure all project objectives are communicated and achieved.
• Develop and maintain an organized, searchable and easily accessible archive for all artwork and supporting elements.
• Mentor interns and freelance employees assigned to the Creative Services department.
• In-depth knowledge of current and emerging trends in design
Required Competencies:
• Proficient in Adobe Creative Cloud (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator) and Microsoft Office.
• Possess a solid understanding of creative project management and have an in-depth understanding of design project lifecycles.
• Ability to work in a variety of mediums including but not limited to print and web.
• Willingness to take on additional design and project management responsibilities driven by an ever-evolving business landscape.
• Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment under tight deadlines.
• Demonstrate a willingness to work as part of a team to achieve identified goals through effective communication, collaboration and cooperation.
• Maintain a high level of accuracy and quality, consistently reviewing, revising and finessing to successful delivery and completion of project.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Flexible, reliable and able to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Analytical ability and accuracy with numbers.
Required Professional Experience:
• Bachelor of Arts with concentration in graphic design preferred
• 3-5 years graphic design experience
