We are recruiting a Marketing Executive to increase retention rates and lifetime value for subscribers to The Economist. This role will also involve optimising renewal processes, communications, targeting, reporting and analysis.
Accountabilities:
In this role, you will be expected to:
• Develop, test and organise annual plans for renewals and retention to grow renewal and engagement rates
• Organise and plan day-to-day strategies to increase auto renewal payments
• Monitor and report of results against plan
• Manage the retention marketing activities
• Manage supplier; fulfillment bureau, online bureau, telemarketing agencies, creative agencies, mailing house etc
• Handle escalated customer service queries
• Work closely with the Customer Operations team to optimise customer processes
• Work with our telemarketing agency to improve reporting and efficiencies
• Up-sell and cross sell promotions across The Economist Group’s portfolio of titles

To succeed in this role you must have:
• Marketing or publishing experience
• Experience of developing marketing plans
• Knowledge of direct marketing techniques
• Previous experience of managing marketing budgets
• Experience of monitoring and reporting results against budget
• Experience of managing and implementing print, online and telemarketing campaigns
• Direct marketing experience within subscriptions or CRM would be desirable
• Computer knowledge : Microsoft Office, Excel
• Excellent written and spoken English
