The Account Manager is responsible for developing strategic partnerships with the Pearson Test of English and ELT client base by leveraging Pearson content, assets and partnerships. This person is responsible for building key relationships, maximizing market share and growth in the region, as well as establishing large institutional agreements.
The Account Manager will work in the geography to build key relationships in the Education market, to engage with the ELT community to maximise delivery of candidate volumes, to locally implement global marketing and learning resource strategies and as well to be an escalation point for candidate and customer service issues.
The incumbent must be aggressive and active in competitive accounts, as well knowledgeable regarding competition and industry trends. Responsible for proposing and closing engagements that will achieve total revenue growth, profit, and customer satisfaction plans.
Key Accountabilities:
● Developing and maintaining strategic relationships with existing customers and prospective clients including universities, governments, language schools, agents, and teachers via on-site meetings, telephone calls and emails.
● Manage sales for given accounts, understand targets and track sales. Provide accurate sales forecasting.
● Superior customer relationship management skills. Demonstrate the ability to build relationships with end users and decision makers.
● Able to meet and conduct appropriate product presentations tailor-made to teachers’ and decision makers’ needs in educational institutions.
● Proven experience negotiating and closing large transactions and/or contracts and achieving a significant growth towards a sales goal.
● Consulting with clients regarding technology and other support issues as it pertains to online learning environment
● Acting as a liaison between the company and its existing and potential clients and test centres, ensuring high standards.
● Feeding back to marketing & sales manager details of market needs to ensure our product is best suited to our customers, and drive candidate volumes though localised sales and marketing campaigns.
● Act as an area representative for PTE generally ensuring that high standards are met in delivery and service of our test. This may include escalating candidate complaints; auditing our delivery channel for quality and security or identifying new testing locations.

● Contributing to complex bids with ministry and large educational institutions and positively influencing them.

Education, Qualifications & Training
Essential:
Bachelors Degree required
Significant online learning and/or strong consulting experience across a variety industries
ELT background with CELTA and/or DELTA or equivalent
Previous Experience
Essential:
Minimum 2 + years experience in a B2B corporate environment, solution selling.
Consultative sales and presentation experience
Highly proficient in MS Office and using CRM systems
Experience in the ELT education industry
Desirable:
● Has experience in publishing industry
● Has ELT Teacher Training experience
● Has experience of negotiating partnership type deals at a senior level
