We are currently seeking an Analyst Programmer to join our IT team based in Nunawading.
Reporting to the Director of IT Services you will assist with the successful completion of software and data services projects within the educational services arena.
Key responsibilities:
• Completing software and data services projects, specifically with the use of current scanning technology and related software tools with a focus on educational assessment data.
• Cleaning and preparing data for variable printing, importing data from scanning platforms into database structures, recoding, overprinting customised data and reconciling and exporting data according to specifications
• Programming in the .NET suite of languages, primarily C#, VB.NET and ASP.NET.
• Develop data manipulation processes using T-SQL and SQL Server 2005/2008.
• Develop and maintain a variety of reporting systems using SQL Server reporting services and .NET reporting tools.
Qualifications
• Full exposure to a formal development methodology encompassing all aspects of the systems development life cycle.
• Experienced with Microsoft Technologies C#, VB.NET and SQL Server 2005/2008.
• Current skills in SQL Server 2005, C#, VB.NET, SQL Server Reporting services.
• Exposure to image manipulation and conversion (tiff to jpeg, gif)
• Exposure to web services and e-business systems development initiatives.
• Skills in OO analysis and design.
• An understanding of scanning technologies and educational software and services would be highly regarded
• Tertiary qualifications or equivalent in a relevant technical discipline.
• Microsoft Certification in C# and .NET highly regarded.
