The Promotion Coordinator works to ensure the timely and successful execution of all station sales and promotional events through teamwork and coordination with other departments and staff.
Essential Duties/Responsibilities:
• All aspects of event planning, from inception to completion. Work closely with clients, sales and programming to coordinate and execute promotional events
• Take lead on updating and maintaining station website, contesting and social media platforms for promotions and events
• Take a role in the planning and strategy for "digital media campaigns"
• Take a role in media campaigns for all stations--updating as needed--creating graphics for online listing of events and contests on Entercom San Diego stations
• Schedule talent and staff for events
• Operation and maintenance of station event equipment, including vehicles
• Maintain and inventory prize closet on a regular bases
• Moderate physical activity. Requires ability to lift 75 pounds and standing and/or walking for more than four (4) hours per day.
Minimum Competencies Required: (knowledge, skills and abilities)
• Strong time-management skills and ability to multi-task across all departments
• Available to work weekends, some evenings, some holidays
• Great interpersonal communication skills, enthusiastic, team player. Excellent public relation skills
• Strong Computer skills with proficiencies in Microsoft Word, Excel, basic HTML, photoshop, promosuite and Vpromotions. Final Cut Pro and iMovie experience a plus.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
• Schedules and coordinates work of part-time promotion assistants
Minimum Qualifications: (education, experience)
• Three year’s experience in radio promotions, or event planning
