Job Description
Targeting top-tier strategic global accounts across a defined agency group, the Sales Director will be required to build relationships externally with clients and agencies as well as internally with AOL sales partners across the entire set of AOL markets. Accountable for developing and growing revenue, the Sales Director must represent AOL at a senior level both with current and prospective customers, understand customer needs, and define new standards for driving customer success.
This experienced sales professional has a proven international track record of meeting revenue goals and producing innovative solutions and the ability to work in a constantly changing, dynamic environment. This person will have experience dealing with ambiguity, while demonstrating problem-solving leadership skills with limited oversight.
Responsibilities:
• Achieve sales revenue targets
• Drive new revenue initiatives and ensures new business opportunities are communicated to the allocated agency including short-term offers, site launches and research projects.
• Work with the targeted strategic global account list to grow business across these accounts
• Represents AOL at a senior level with the Agency and has a personal credibility with peers and senior executives within the agency.
• Go-to-market with content and programmatic solutions, with ability to upsell and cross-sell by helping clients understand the advantages of working with AOL to achieve multiple marketing objectives
• Guide and create persuasive sales presentations, Joint Business Plans and Global Upfront agreements using market trends, case studies and AOL solutions
• Track success of campaigns and programs, compile results, and provide recommendations for future campaigns, with the ultimate goal of renewal and upsell
• Maintains an up to date and accurate sales pipeline, forecast and call cycle
Qualifications:
• An upbeat, focused and resilient self starter driven by personal and team success
• Excellent communication, presentation skills, negotiation, and closing skills
• Ideally 8 - 12 years of agency or media sales experience
• A high number of useful and relevant personal contacts and well established network
• Articulate and able to express their views and ideas clearly and concisely
• Strong interpersonal skills including the ability to persuade and influence those they interact with
• A proven track record of significant media sales: will typically have been accountable for delivering revenues of around £2m
• Candidate will be able to demonstrate having held senior level relationships with Client Director contacts within a major agency group company
• Will have a track record of delivery of new business having originated conversations and followed through to deal signing
• Experience selling cross-network online marketing solutions such as integrated sponsorships, video, mobile and display advertising, and programmatic platforms.
