Job Title:
Manager Marketing Strategy and Analysis – Experience Research
Job Summary:
The successful candidate will design and conduct research projects that will lead to innovative and high quality experiences for our clients’ customers and stakeholders. This role will participate in all phases of research for the purposes of formulating strategy, discovering opportunities, defining requirements, and assessing designs.
Responsibilities:
• Coordinate and execute customer, client, vendor, and market research, using qualitative and quantitative methods as appropriate, including ethnographic research, in-context interviews, facilitated work sessions, focus groups, surveys, and secondary research
• Develop and apply conceptual frameworks and analytical approaches
• Develop and present solutions and recommendations
• Lead the gathering and prioritization of requirements based upon business requirements, user needs and technology capabilities
• Plan, facilitate and manage usability evaluations
• Review visual mockups and/or prototype designs
• Facilitate meetings, working sessions and workshops
• Manage key tracks of work (including other individuals) in accordance with established budget, work plans and quality standards
• Create strong working relationships with clients in business and IT roles
• Support business development activities and client proposals
• Build relationships with senior clients and identify new business opportunities
Experience Guidelines:
• 5-10 years of experience executing research projects including including marketing strategy, digital and multi-channel commerce, content portals, kiosks, intranet/extranets, e-mail marketing, online advertising and web-based application design
• Experience leading teams and motivating others to take action
• Past consulting or agency experience required
• Past contributions to thought leadership and intellectual capital development
• Solid understanding of Internet trends, business models and technologies
• Strong analytical, communications and organizational skills with an ability to thrive in a fast-paced deadline-driven environment
• Excellent oral and written communication skills including the ability to create and deliver clear, powerful and concise presentations/proposals
• Ability to plan and manage time and resources, establish priorities and meet goals
• Exposure to service design, product innovation and/or have a design (UX, industrial, product, human factors) background a plus.
• Flexibility to speak with team members across all functions, and is able to passionately communicate research implications to multi-functional teams
• Familiarity and experience with key online research platforms.
• Global research project experience a plus
• High proficiency in Word, Excel, Powerpoint and MS Project
Education:
Bachelor’s degree required or equivalent military experience
