Job Title:
Vice President, Technology
Job Summary:
The VP, Technology for the LA office will oversee and provide technical leadership to the Technology discipline while supporting the Client Services department and agency business development manager in all new business efforts. A VP, Technology must have senior architectural level technical skills along with business development skills. The ideal candidate must be client relation savvy. The responsibilities also include analyzing business problems and proposing innovative engineering solutions and/or making strategic technical recommendations for development solutions.
**Candidate must have ~2+ years experience working on a big Automotive brand.**
Key Responsibilities include:
• Act as a strategic advisor to the client and demonstrate the ability to create a technology vision, strategy, and roadmap
• Often serves as the Technology Discipline Lead for the office or a large group within an office
• Provide technical and business oversight to all projects within the designation
• Works with the Client Services' teams and Project Managers during pre-production meetings to translate the client's business requirements to a sound technical architecture/approach. Oversees the execution of the technical strategy once the clients' approval is obtained.
• Oversees unit and system integration testing and code reviews for the work completed by the programming team.
• Assist in identifying and developing new customers and projects by providing technical guidance while collaborating with business development
• Explain project technology and process to client and Razorfish management as well as the technical teams.
• Mentor and grow technology architects within the office.
• Ensure that the technology group is constantly acquiring new technology skills, as well as enhancing and growing the current skills within the group.
• Research new products and technologies to determine fit with the overall application architecture.
• Ensure all operational elements of the technology group are closely and properly managed, such as staffing, hiring, business development and career management.
• Works closely with other discipline leads to ensure that tight integration across all disciplines is in place, as well as diversifying the company’s offering in order to meet market and Razorfish Agile+ methodology.
Job Requirements:
• Experience working on large big automotive brand accounts.
• 10-12+ years of related overall experience, which 7+ years experience in a consulting environment and 5+ years successful experience with management/operations, project estimation, staffing, resource allocation, pre-sales and recruiting support.
• Proven ability to develop technology solutions for a wide range of clients in the digital space that deliver results. Experience with architecting digital solutions within the automotive space is highly desired.
• Deep experience with core development technologies including Object Oriented Programming, C#/Microsoft.NET, Windows Azure, Oracle, SQL Server, HTML, JavaScript, iOS, Android, OLTP and OLAP database design and web solutions including CMS (Sitecore ideally), portal engines, e-commerce (e-commerce packages), mobile technologies, marketing technology.
• Experience with personalization and targeting technologies, data-warehousing/big data technologies a plus.
• Experience with cloud based platforms like Amazon Web Services, Azure, Rackspace Cloud, or Google’s App Engine a plus.
• Experience with enterprise and web architecture, software methodology, frameworks, and design patterns.
• Working ability to perform requirements elicitation, requirements analysis using stories or use case modeling, and requirements specification as a supporting member of the requirements team. Working ability to identify architecturally significant requirements and their estimate ramifications. Strong experience with industry software development methodologies ranging from waterfall to Agile.
• Experience working with distributed and co-located software development teams onshore, near-shore, and offshore.
• Experience with key products from vendors like IBM, Microsoft, Oracle, SAP, Autonomy, Apple, Google, Amazon, Adobe, etc.
• Experience working in client facing roles in consulting and professional services.
