Responsibilities
Pearson's K12 Sales organization is looking to add a new member to our Specialist team. We are looking for a Specialist with deep knowledge in Social Studies, Literacy, Math, Science, or Humanities to join our sales team. You will partner with other Specialists and share responsibilities in the Northwest Region. We are looking for a self-starter with a passion for K12 Education and the ability to drive educators (at all levels) to make the right decision regarding learning outcome choices for students and teachers.
You will be responsible for:
• Achieving revenue targets as a team in the Northwest Region
• Developing and delivering winning presentations
• Developing relationships with key K12 decision makers within your market segment
• Providing customer feedback to sales, product and marketing teams
• Delivering Product Activation Trainings or new accounts
• Providing professional development workshops at conferences
As a K12 Specialist, you will work in partnership with Account General Managers throughout the region as a content specialist supporting the sales process for prospecting to close for Pearson products, services and solutions respective to your portfolio in assigned markets.
Qualifications
• Deep knowledge and passion for learning in K12 Education
• Academic experience and/or training in K12 Literacy, Math, Science, or Humanities
• Demonstrate the ability to deliver winning presentations in large and small groups
• Experience in networking with district administrators and decision makers
• Previous experience in selling and servicing in the education market is desirable
• Experience in public speaking and creating engaging presentations for teachers, parents district administrators, superintendents, or adoption committees
• Experience creating and conducting PowerPoint and/or Keynote presntations
• College degree required with advanced degree or specialty related training is highly desirable
Skills
• Ability to have pointed conversations with school districts in the area of K12 Literacy and math
• Highly skilled in influencing decision making in the K12 arena
