NBCUniversal Telemundo Enterprises seeks an intellectually curious and consultative analyst to support the collection, analysis and communication of consumer research for our growing portfolio of multiplatform brands. This role will help build partnerships with management by delighting internal clients with day-to-day, strategic and actionable insights and recommendations for continued growth.
The ideal candidate for this position will independently initiative projects in response to business challenges around content performance and a holistic understanding of our consumers’ unmet needs. In addition, the candidate will possess research experience, find problem solving exhilarating, is excited about media, and by nature is highly collaborative and adaptable.
Responsibilities
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
• Translate consumer research from various sources and methodologies into meaningful stories and actionable growth recommendations.
• Manage multiple projects simultaneously and efficiently juggle workload in the face of shifting priorities and deadlines.
• Serve as the go-to expert on an organized repository of all quantitative and qualitative files and other assets produced in primary consumer initiatives.
• Translate research instruments between English and Spanish.
• Screen and review content to provide summaries and grow to become an expert on patterns across the companies content products.
• Other duties and projects as assigned.
Qualifications/Requirements
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of one year research experience ideally at a broadcast/cable network, agency, media research supplier or digital media company; alternatively, other experience grounded in strategic thinking and quantitative/qualitative consumer research, or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Passion for Spanish-language content & the US Hispanic audience a must. Must also consume the category’s content regularly in order to test content products effectively.
• Demonstrated expertise using Microsoft Office applications including Excel (pivot tables and macros) and PowerPoint.
• Must possess strong analytic ability; critical thinker; fast learner; proactive problem solver.
• Strong verbal/written communication & relationship-building skills.
• Experience with Nielsen, digital/social analytics products & SPSS/SAS a plus
• Understanding of modeling and statistics a plus.
• Demonstrate leadership and adaptability skills to a fast-pace environment
• Certification as a qualitative research moderator a plus.
• Master’s degree a plus, ideally in fields like data science or sociology.
Eligibility Requirements:
• Willingness to travel and work overtime, and on weekends with short notice
• Must be willing to work full-time in Miami
• Must have unrestricted work authorization to work in the United States
• Must be 18 years or older
• Must have a valid driver’s license
• Must be fluent in English and Spanish (speak, read & write)
