JOB SUMMARY
As Manager Email Marketing Strategy you will manage the email marketing program for Spectrum Business (SMB). You will be the strategic lead and project manager and as such will ensure all email campaigns are successfully implemented from planning stage to execution for both prospects and current customers.
Your objective will be to maximize qualified leads, sales and revenue by driving email marketing best practices and program enhancement. As Manager you will be responsible for overall program performance and budget, and work to increase conversion and efficiency.
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Actively and consistently support all efforts to simplify and enhance the customer experience.
• Partner and collaborate with the Creative and the Database teams to enhance the email marketing strategy, increase email KPIs, enhance ROI metrics, and deliver on lead generation goals.
• Oversee the small and medium size business (SMB) email marketing program including: promotional campaigns, new triggered / automation programs
• Manage offer landing pages
• Establish URL tracking.
• Responsible for lead content marketing efforts including a monthly e-newsletter and Insights content website. Provide direction to external agencies on content strategy and site development.
• Manage and communicate SMB campaign calendar to ensure flawless execution
• Provide guidance on email best practices, trends, technologies and CAN SPAM laws and continuously drive innovation in email channel.
• Collaborate with partners to establish a testing roadmap and refine strategies based on results.
• Manage the relationship with our email service provider (ESP)
◦ Prioritize their work.
◦ Oversee quality assurance and delivery reviews to ensure the accuracy of deployments
◦ Oversee post-deployment analysis to validate completion.
◦ Direct efforts to increase deliverability and inbox placement
• Ensure that the overall direction for email marketing aligns with the strategy and vision of Charter commercial services.
• Manage the overall expenses, including annual budget and quarterly reforecasting processes.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Skills/Abilities and Knowledge
• Must have proven ability and experience in managing email marketing programs.
• Hands-on experience with marketing automation and ESP tools, including campaign management software, rendering test platforms and deliverability tools.
• Strong project management skills managing multiple projects (deadlines, calendars, creative and data needs) from beginning to end.
• Basic technical understanding of HTML, XHTML, CSS, Java, web publishing, Flash, etc.
• Exceptional communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to conduct formal presentations to all levels of management
• Strong attention to detail balanced with the ability to think strategically.
• Highly developed capacity for teamwork and a strong focus on the customer
• Advanced proficiency with Excel and PowerPoint; proficient in other desktop applications.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Skills / Abilities and Knowledge
• Knowledge of cable television, high speed Internet and phone products and services preferred.
• Experience with Business to Business (B2B) marketing preferred.
Education
• Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Business, Finance or related discipline and/or an equivalent experience.
Required Work Experience
• Email Marketing Campaign experience - 5+ years
• Experience and knowledge of email platforms and tools - 3+ years
WORKING CONDITIONS
• Standard office environment, occasional travel.
