Pearson’s North America Marketing team is seeking an experienced marketing leader to serve as our Director of Product Marketing. This person will build and run a new two person team in the NA marketing. It will deliver product marketing for Pearson’s higher education offerings that are specific to the US market. In this capacity they will work very closely with the Global Product Marketing organization to align on best practices and common techniques for executing product marketing.
Key responsibilities (for each major offering in the US-specific HiEd portfolio)
• Define the value proposition and core messaging
• Lock on segmentation and targeting for offerings and campaigns
• Partner with the NA Marketing Creative Services Team to drive asset creation
• Establish and leverage a point of view on what is required for business success, including representation into the marketing campaign prioritization, planning, execution, and measurement processes
• Drive the overall business health, including use of reports and analytics to assess current business success, issues inhibiting success, and future opportunities to improve the business
Key qualifications
• 2+ years in product marketing and/or message development
• 5+ years any aspect of marketing
• 5+ years in the education market
• Demonstrated history of driving results via cross-team collaboration
• History of people management is a plus, but not required
