McGraw-Hill Education is offering a paid Quantitative Methods Intern role at the School Education Division in Columbus, Ohio. Reporting to the Strategy and Analytics group, you’ll be working closely with a well-regarded team of experts to deliver leading edge research that’s focused on helping us better understand the needs and behavior of our customers and end-users.
As well as directly contributing to the development of innovative products for K-12 education, you’ll benefit from resume boosting business experience and mentoring from a diverse group of research professionals. This position would suit someone with a background in psychology, sociology, linguistics, visual communications, education, business, or a related disciple as well as an understanding of quantitative research methods, survey design and analysis using tools such as SPSS and MS Excel.
The Quantitative Methods Intern will assist with tasks such as:
• Recruiting participants for studies.
• Scrubbing data and checking for accuracy.
• Running preliminary descriptive analyses and some high-level analyses of data.
• Archiving research studies.
• Reviewing industry and secondary research reports.
• Providing detailed interpretation of findings, organizing data files, assisting in the editing of surveys, and in the creation of research reports.
A successful candidate will have:
• Good oral and written communications skills.
• Able to juggle multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
• Ability to work as a team member in a fast-paced environment.
A successful candidate may have:
• Degree related to research or data science or equivalent work experience.
