DESCRIPTION:
The Temporary Research Analyst will be responsible for research reporting and analysis for Smithsonian Channel
Specifically, you will:
• Prepare ratings summary reports for internal distribution
• Provide research support to various departments across the company
• Assist in development of weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual ratings summary reports and analysis highlighting key trends
• Prepare viewership demographic reports and analysis
• Create custom research reports and analysis as needed to support various departments
QUALIFICATIONS:
• 0-1 years of relevant research experience in the television industry (research internship experience acceptable)
• Some knowledge of Nielsen TV ratings data
• Passion for television and quantitative work
• Expertise in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
• Ability to think strategically to develop insightful reports
• Strong attention to detail and number accuracy
• Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
• Strong organizational skills, ability to work under pressure w/ multiple projects, and meet deadlines
• Ability to be self-motivated
