Purpose
PLEASE NOTE: This is a project / limited term position with an estimated part-time need to cover vacations, holidays and weekends or otherwise amended or terminated as deliverables within this project are completed.
Responsibilities
Work closely with all departments to help satisfy the technical needs of the broadcast facility and network
Acquisition, routing and quality control of incoming & outgoing feeds
Facilitate repairs and preventative maintenance of various pieces of equipment in the facility
Assist ENG, Studio and Remote production staffs by providing Engineering support of live broadcasts
Assist in construction, installation & documentation of new systems and equipment
Assist in supporting IT/Desktop Hardware/Network/VOIP related issues
Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by Assistant Director of Engineering
Punctual, regular, and consistent attendance
Qualifications/ Requirements
Minimum of five (5) years of experience in Broadcast Engineering.
Ability to work evenings & weekends.
Associates Degree or practical equivalent in
Management Information Systems, Electronics Engineering or Broadcast Digital Video.
Experienced in satellite and fiber transmission & receiving systems.
Understanding of all aspects of Standard & High Definition television, including MPEG encoders & decoders and other New Media applications.
Thorough knowledge of SDI video systems.
Thorough knowledge of digital cameras, switching, audio and routing systems.
Knowledge of non-linear editing, video workflow and storage systems.
