Job Title
UGC Content Moderator
The UGC Content Moderator is responsible for reviewing photos, reviews, blogs, comments, and posts within the Allrecipes.com service level agreement. The Moderator will also be responsible for choosing relevant photos for site merchandising and work with Content Team to edit UGC recipes.
II. Essential Job Functions
Accountabilities, Actions and Expected Measurable Results
• Monitors and reviews photos, reviews, and comments posted on Allrecipes.com
• Works with the UGC Content Production team to identify issues with content (recipe problems, etc.)
• Works with the Community Support team to delete inappropriate content and members
• Identifies trends in posted content and alerts team to new ideas and trends
• Identifies the top user contributions to publish onsite and in print
• Curates content for publication – images, reviews
• Selects images for site merchandising and also selects appropriate photos for main-set images on recipe pages
• Assists with partner content publication
• Works with Content Team to edit and publish UGC recipes
III. Minimum Qualifications and Job Requirements| All must be met to be considered.
Education:
• Bachelor’s degree or relevant experience preferred
Experience:
• Experience and confidence with web-based online and database tools
• Experience with editing
Specific Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
• High attention to detail.
• Excellent grammar, spelling, and writing skills.
• Proficiency with MS Office applications and Outlook.
• Must have a true desire to help people with the goal of retaining them as ongoing customers.
• Experience with providing peer feedback.
• Be able to think strategically and act tactically. Willing to roll up your sleeves and do what needs to be done.
• Uphold and evangelize Allrecipes core culture values and the Allrecipes brand values in every day responsibilities.
• Be a problem-solver, not just a problem alerter. Problem alerters are a dime a dozen. It is easy to sit around and point out the flaws of any system, product or organization. Allrecipes needs problem solvers. Problem solvers are the real innovators in this world.
