JOB SUMMARY
The Sr. Product Marketing Mgr, Network Services will be responsible for producing marketing programs to promote Charter Communications commercial products and services portfolio. Responsibilities include creation of product marketing strategies; go to market plans, collaboration with cross-functional teams, develop campaign strategies to drive product specific launches. Activities may also include evaluation of integrated marketing programs, developing and qualifying market opportunities, construction of personas and developing solutions specific commercial insights and development of sales enablement tools. This is a highly visible position that requires collaborative work with other marketing team members as well as close working relationships with product management and development.
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsible for product lifecycle management which includes market segmentation to identify target customers, evaluate and articulate competitive differentiation, develop relevant messaging and positioning plans to promote and sell the products through a combination of sales channels across all phases of the buyer’s journey.
Develops the go to market strategy for the assigned product area.
Translates product features into buyer benefits.
Develops value propositions, messages, positioning statements and commercial insights.
Identifies product-specific applications and develops target customer profiles.
Serves as the subject matter expert for the assigned product area to support the development of content for external and internal marketing and promotions activities.
Identifies and applies the most effective marketing vehicles for programs and activities and metrics for promoting the assigned product.
Supports product-specific marketing activities; tie activities to market success as measured by key metrics including overall growth, market penetration, positioning, market share and ROI.
Contributes to development and maintenance of effective sales tools and training.
Interfaces with other functional areas to include: product management, offer management, sales, operations, marketing communications, finance and vertical marketing teams.
Presents findings and make recommendations to team members and leadership as appropriate.
Manages and performs data driven competitive intelligence and market comparisons studies to be used in business case development for product roadmap decisions and sales messaging and positioning.
Monitors marketplace and competitive activities for appropriate positioning and differentiation.
Develops competitive positioning analysis and evaluate product functionality and pricing placement.
Develops content strategy to promote product. Serves as the subject matter expert to support the content teams in the development of product brochures, product fact sheets, collateral, marketing materials, whitepapers, web site content and customer case study to promote product portfolio.
Works with Analyst Relations team, product and industry analysts to promote products and develop positive perception in the influencer community.
Perform other duties as assigned.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Skills/Abilities and Knowledge
Deep technical expertise in the assigned product area: Data Networking, Internet Technologies, Security Services, Voice Services, Cloud Computing, Managed Services or Advanced Technologies (including NFV/SDN).
Demonstrated proficiency in market and competitive analysis
Demonstrated proficiency in development and delivery of product marketing plans, messaging and commercial insights
Experience marketing telecom products to B2B enterprise audiences
Effective business management skills including strong interpersonal, organizational and prioritization skills
Knowledge of and experience with digital marketing, web technologies, analysis/business intelligence and B2B marketing tactics
Demonstrated ability to build and maintain excellent relationships with internal and external partners and stakeholders
Ability to perform in a fast-paced and changing environment with minimal direction and supervision.
Outstanding visual, verbal and written communication skills and experience presenting information to senior executives
Strong communication skills, including writing and presentation skills, and the ability to articulate complex concepts into easy to understand messaging
Familiarity with quantitative and qualitative research and basic analysis. Ability to identify pertinent market and business insight information from general or generic information
Ability to effectively prioritize and manage multiple projects, coordinate cross functional teams and meet aggressive goals

The position requires solid knowledge of telecommunications products, as well as a broad understanding of B2B marketing techniques.

Education
Bachelor’s Degree; preferred Business or Marketing emphasis or equivalent experience
Master’s preferred
