We have an opening for an experienced, innovative, strategic Product Marketing Manager in our Columbus, Ohio office. Does this sound like you?
Reporting to the Sr Director, Marketing, 6-12, the Product Marketing Manager you will be the expert on the specific product line and the market(s) the products serve. You will be able to translate this knowledge into high-impact programs and materials that clearly communicate the value of our products in the marketplace.
Critical Functions:
• Segmenting the market including effective product positioning, storytelling, bundling and pricing.
• Collaborate within marketing, as well as with sales and product development to ensure the voice of the customer is always represented.
• Budget/P&L management that includes developing revenue targets, accurate forecasting, profitability and pricing review and analysis.
• Reviewing and translating insightful, comprehensive market research to understand the needs of the market and turn them into product requirements.
• Collaborating with sales and marketing counterparts to drive revenue through strategic market planning and execution.
• Leading efforts to understand the competitive landscape and provide competitive differentiation through sales support and the development of product plans.
A successful candidate will have:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Psychology, Business or related field or equivalent work experience.
• Three years of experience with segmentation, positioning, pricing, and new product development practices.
• To be hands-on and detail-oriented.
• Be able to deliver results in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Team player traits, who is well versed in details.
• Confidence and be willing to take risks, challenge conventional thinking, and make smart decisions
• Strong ability to influence at all levels within the organization
• Strategic thinking capabilities, who puts the needs of the whole over their individual contribution
• Effective communication in both written and verbal forms
• To be result oriented with a sense of urgency
• The highest level of ethics and integrity
A successful candidate may have:
• MBA Preferred
• Five years of relevant product management experience
