School Division is currently recruiting for an Editorial Project Manager, Mathematics based in Don Mills for a one-year contract role.
The Editorial Project Manager is primarily responsible for managing the workflow of material in development to deliver quality print and digital products on schedule and budget. The Editorial Project Manager is accountable for managing the creation of new product developments by organizing the workflow for prototypes, samples, product descriptions and manuscripts/scripts/storyboards as they arrive from the managing editor, development editors, authors, and reviewers. The Editorial Project Manager must ensure all contributors have a clear understanding of project features, specifications and timelines. The Editorial Project Manager will manage and plan all parts of a project and program, including making recommendations for freelance needs, in consultation with publishing team members and the CMPS project manager.
Qualifications
• Completion of a university degree
• Completion of a publishing certificate is desirable
• Minimum of two years of previous project management experience in publishing
• High comfort level with learning various technologies, including web applications, content management systems, spreadsheets, Acrobat and HTML software
