Sony Pictures is looking for a creative, forward-thinking, energetic & eager individual to join the Worldwide Creative Content team in the role of Manager, Creative Content. This position calls for a motivated self-starter who is comfortable managing and producing content for multiple distribution channels; broadcast, online, in-theater, & mobile. This is a cross-functional role that requires daily collaboration with a number of global departments and offices. Must be able to juggle multiple film projects at one time. This is a high-volume, fast-paced environment, with direct contact with high-level executives and filmmakers so diplomacy, organization, and tenacity are critical attributes for this position.
Description:
• Oversee daily communication with all territory offices, including US, on titles for Columbia, TriStar, Screen Gems, Studio 8 & SPRI
• Produce live events, premieres, press days, junkets, set visits and influencer shoots, on location
• Aid in producing custom shoots. Typically there are over a dozen shoots per film involving multiple actors & filmmakers, set development, script conception & execution, including aggregating and tracking global needs
• Trafficking, execution and distribution of all final, global, content assets to individual territories. Obtain feedback from markets and customize and or localize. Track all special requests
• Manage raw materials process during production and post production including camera masters, archiving, initial broll pulls, soundbite selects, transcriptions
• Manage VFX, ordering shots, assessing costs and distribution to vendors
• Provide international and domestic content distribution oversight, subtitle and dubbing material deadlines and versioning
• Ensure Sony international and domestic press sites coordinate launches and timing of content
• Facilitate MPAA, Legal, Business Affairs, Script Clearances & Music Licensing on all materials
• Oversee all aspects of Creative Development of Toolkits on films, including international custom requests
• Typically, on each film, there are 75-150 pieces of content disseminated and localized with more than 20 unique encodes.
Requirements:
• 3-5+ years of experience in feature film, creative content
• Entertainment or corporate experience preferred
• College graduate or equivalent, preferred
• Excellent written, oral communication, and effective team building skills
• Strong verbal, written, and presentation skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
• Basic knowledge of Photoshop, Flash, HTML5
• Self-starter with high level of initiative
• Passionate and committed with a high level of energy
• Strong sense of ownership and urgency
• Must have an open communication style which takes into account managing expectations with multiple stakeholders
• Handle multiple projects, set priorities, and meet deadlines
• Strategic critical thinker who also has a high attention to detail
• Work collaboratively in a team environment
• Excellent organizational skills
