JOB SUMMARY
The role is responsible for developing brand voice, creative copy and compelling story telling concepts for the Spectrum Reach Brand. This will include copy for television commercials, long form, social and digital advertising, white papers, thought leadership pieces, collateral and additional support documents. The Manager will lead a small team of creative writers and will work in conjunction with Kernel team members, the creative writers and the marketing department. This role requires superb attention to detail and excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills. They will also collaborate and coordinate with leaders across the organization to ensure smooth coordination between functions.
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Lead a team of a team of creative professionals who are serving the media sales and product teams for Spectrum Reach.
• They will lead the development of creative stories, information materials, email blasts and additional collateral for commercials, long form, social and digital campaigns.
• Will obtain basic information from creative briefs, Account Managers and Marketing Team members to determine strategy and positioning.
• Will be responsible for gathering and delivering scripts, pitch boards, story boards and email blasts and/or creative direction for assigned projects, adhering to given deadlines and budgets.
• Will use general knowledge about advertising and messaging and combine that knowledge with brand focus to best lead the brand and marketing messaging.
• Responsible for implementation of new processes and programs as needed
• Work with team members to ensure that deliverables are on pace to be completed by assigned due dates
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
• 6+ years of previous experience writing and developing creative concepts for brands with 2+ years leading a team responsible for developing creative concepts
• Have a proven track record of developing high quality, creative and compelling concepts for multi-platform marketing.
• Have a strong ability to prioritize tasks, be self-motivated, and able to effectively manage time and priorities.
• Proven ability to manage several projects simultaneously.
• Have excellent written and verbal communications skills.
• Have excellent interpersonal skills.
• Be a flexible team player and work well in a group environment.
• Knowledge of production techniques including editing, filming, voice over insertions, time needed for projects and best practices for execution related to production services is a plus.
• Experience leading a team of writers is a plus.
Skills/Abilities and Knowledge
• Bachelor’s degree (BA or BS) from four-year College or University; or equivalent training, education and experience.
