The Knoxville News Sentinel, a USA TODAY NETWORK Co., is looking for an Ad Ops Specialist. The Ad Ops Specialist will serve as liaison with the GIADC, and coordinate delivery of all ad materials to GIADC, ensure deadlines are met and final ads are submitted and completed for prepress by deadline. A specialist of our production process from start to finish. Communication and Liason with various departments to resolve production issues. Must have high digital acumen, an ability to clearly articulate our strong value proposition, have “challenger” skills, a hunger to win, a commitment to client excellence and to delivering results.
In this role, you will:
• Work with sales staff to ensure that all materials are submitted and approved through GIADC
• Provide support to sales staff regarding all aspects of production and coordination with GIADC
• Track down missing ads – either prior to or during production/proofing process and communicate with layout and pagination.
• Layout/Design sections and coordinate all special publications with GIADC
• Backup for emergency creative needs as approved by manager.
• Coordinate Preprints and Special Section press alerts and schedule press times.
• Responsible for ensuring all ads and sections are completed on time.
• Primary advertising liaison between news, layout, pagination and GIADC.
Here's what you need:
• High School Diploma required
• 2 years of newspaper production experience or similar in agency or production environment.
• Must have proven organizational, problem solving and customer service skills.
• Must be able to adapt quickly to multiple and changing priorities. .
• Must have excellent written and verbal communication skill.
• Working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite.
• Experience in web based Ad Trafficking..
