Due to continued growth in the Middle East we are looking to hire a Marketing Executive. This role reports to the Head of Marketing in the region and has responsibility for designing, creating, executing & measuring promotional & brand awareness activity that is focused on customer development and advocacy. The Customer Marketing Executive will be responsible for ensuring local events and sales enablement materials are created and sales staff fully briefed on product and pricing. Working with colleagues across the EMEA marketing, sales and product functions this person will will demonstrate high quality & impactful copywriting, strong organisational skills and excellent customer engagement. They will support the schools sector predominantly but provide additional marketing support for Higher Education and Professional sectors as required or as requested. The Marketing Executive will work within a budget and be responsible for delivering associated MQL targets for their activity as well as other KPIs supporting reach, share of voice, response rates, customer survey etc.
Key Responsibilities
Customer Usage Insight
• Utilise insights for key customer segments to create appropriate messaging, targeting and outcomes for your activity.
Customer Engagement Strategy
• Implement activity to support the customer engagement for all Published Print and Digital Product. Working with product & sales colleagues, ensure relevant and accurate product information is available to custoemrs through appropriate marketing-owned channels
• Identify & capture customer & student impact & outcome from using MHE product.
• Implement activity to support the reduction in Samples and the increase in eBook and online product reviews through impactful and persistent promotion (internally and externally.
• Identify & manage a programme of advocates – teachers who support MHE product & capture endorsement & leverage their advocacy in marketing campaigns across the region.
• Champion the needs of the customer across all marketing campaigns & events providing input and support where necessary.
• Understand and advocate the Learning Sciences story for the region and work with the Customer Marketing Executive (based in London) to provide appropriate Sales Enablement tools to ensure a consistent and managed ‘story’ is told consistently.
• Support the customer survey programme.
• Provide support and input to marketing activity & events as and when required across the EMEA marketing team.
Demand Generation
• Implement / execute student adoption programmes to ensure customers generate best value from their investment & target key institutions/regions mapped to buying and academic cycles.
• Support & implement relevant Upsell/Cross-sell programmes to extend and expand the reach of key strategic products across institutions/organisation, supporting enterprise-level aspirations.
• Working with Digital & Media and Customer Experience colleagues, provide any relevant support to the production of supporting customer materials, case studies and other supporting sales enablement.
• Contribute to the support for SmartBook product in the region through webinar and other associated programmes.
• Support the timely production & development of Product Catalogue across subject & age ranges ensuring there are measurable KPIs in place to determine value and customer experience.
• Use SFDC, Marketo and associated product analytics to measure & refine your activities and campaigns.
Sales enablement
• Support sales teams to sell effectively by developing compelling customer experience ‘stories’ across key product sets. Additionally, tactics to maximize student adoption and associated sales tools. Provide marketing support for customer engagement activities as requested.
• A highly motivated, ambitious marketer who is passionate about marketing, preferably with experience in working with customers, customer support programmes, customer catalogues and event support.
• 3+ years marketing executive experience.
• Track record of working well in a team and matrix team environment.
• Proven, hands-on experience of modern marketing techniques, including social media, content marketing, demand generation and can evidence demonstrable success.
• High level of writing skills, creativity and artistic flair.
• The right candidate will possess excellent organisational skills and be Excel, PPT/Prezi proficient and be a social media user.
• Ability to prioritize, manage workload effectively & is always eager to collaborate on all activity.
• Must be a clear and confident communicator who is flexible and calm under pressure
• A degree in Marketing (or associated subjects) is preferred.
