Summary of Position:
POP has an immediate opening for a Director of Research. This new position will be a highly valued member of the research team responsible for contributing to the management and analysis of research projects for the network. Responsibilities include:
• Analyzing linear and multiplatform performance of the network and competitive landscape
• Interpreting data in an insightful way with the ability to identify meaningful stories and communicate findings
• Designing and executing presentations for internal distribution
• Interacting with other departments to ensure research findings are effectively utilized
• Project management with strong attention to detail and the ability to effectively prioritize and multitask in a very fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
• Identifying and communicating industry trends
Experience & Skills:
• Solid understanding of the broadcast and cable television competitive landscape
• 10+ years of linear research and 3+ years of multiplatform research
• Excellent analytical writing and creative PowerPoint skills
• Proficiency with Nielsen systems as well as advanced Excel and macro writing skills
• Adept at communicating both concise and detailed insights to all levels of management
• Highly motivated, organized, detail oriented self-starter with strong problem-solving skills
• Ability to initiate and manage multiple projects with varying priorities and deadlines
• Supervisory and team training skills a plus
• Strong interest in entertainment, emerging media and technology
