We are looking for a highly organized individual with outstanding communication and project management skills. The ideal candidate has prior experience in game development and has a keen knowledge of how each discipline operates and interacts. Self-direction and follow-up skills are essential, as is the ability to anticipate production issues and find effective solutions. The candidate must enjoy seeing a project from inception to completion and delivering games on time with the highest quality.
Responsibilities
• Assist with the creation and tracking of schedules for game features and assets
• Identify and communicate all roadblocks and bottlenecks that may prevent developers and / or other Blizzard Entertainment teams from achieving established goals in the allotted time
• Provide information to ensure that project goals, objectives, milestones, and deliverables are achieved
• Communicate frequently with the production leadership and team leads on project status, risks, and opportunities
• Schedule and attend meetings; set agendas; take concise and comprehensive notes and distribute them to appropriate personnel
• Interact with other departments at Blizzard Entertainment and establish a good working relationship
• Represent the team in community, customer service, and QA discussions
Requirements
• A minimum of 3 years’ experience in a production role
• Proven ability to create, track, and maintain complex schedules
• Can drive projects to completion in a timely manner, despite no direct authority and multiple departmental dependencies
• Able to communicate effectively with programming, art, design, audio, and QA personnel
• Comfortable interacting and updating concisely with leads and directors
• Able to facilitate for and communicate with other Blizzard Entertainment departments
• Knowledge of software development process, project management, and production processes
• Exceptional verbal and written communications skills
• Exceptional attention to detail
Pluses
• At least one shipped game title
• Past game design, engineering, or art work experience
• Passion for video games, especially Diablo III
• BA / BS (or equivalent)
