OVERVIEW OF ROLE:
This role supports AMC Networks International for international broadcast of the AMC and Sundance channels.
The Coordinator is a key role in the Operations department, working closely with technicians, engineering, scheduling and marketing teams. This role is critical to the success of international broadcast. The Coordinator is responsible for timely delivery of media assets and localization, including Standards and Practice (S&P) edits and language files for Latin America and Europe.
KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Deliver AMC and Sundance global content to partners on time and to the required technical specifications.
• Request S&P reports for media asset deliveries in Latin America and Brazil.
• Request localization, transcode and delivery for monthly linear and VOD schedules for Sundance Latin America, Sundance Brazil, Sundance Iberia and materials as requested by our London office.
• Archive video assets into Media Asset Management system.
• Investigate Quality Control flags from our vendors and broadcast facilities.
• Collaborate with scheduling and marketing teams on regional premieres and priorities.
• Create and distribute Asset IDs for broadcast for Lat Am and Europe.
• Data entry including ratings, language component deliveries, durations and segment info.
• Serve as back up for Operations team members.
QUALIFICATIONS:
• 1-2 years experience in traffic, operations, quality control, or post production.
• Ability to quickly learn a wide array of tasks
• Technically savvy and troubleshoot with ease
• Self-motivated, proactive, quick-thinking, flexible
• Strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to multi-task
• Working knowledge of post-production workflow, schedules and technical terms (i.e., various video formats, subtitle file formats) a plus
• Highly proficient in OSX, Windows 7, Excel and Word
• Bachelor’s Degree, film/communications major preferred
