Blizzard Entertainment is seeking a passionate program manager with a focus on digital marketing to support and drive our digital strategy across Blizzard franchises and esports. Collaborating with both internal teams and external partners program managers play a key role in establishing and driving cross-functional initiatives that extend the player experience beyond the game. The successful candidate will have a specific focus on Heroes of the Storm, Starcraft II and esport events.
The ideal candidate for this role is a seasoned professional in the field of program and/or project management has a passion for all thing digital, video games and esports.
Responsibilities
• Be a product champion, upholding a clear and consistent vision, goals, and strategies for digital marketing franchise projects
• Collaborate with various stakeholder groups to execute franchise-specific marketing initiatives, monitor / report on progress, and evaluate project results
• Understand and activate the right digital marketing expertise for the right mission
• Liaise with regional platform and development teams to align on strategy and vision
• Gather, document, and organize business, functional, and creative requirements from project stakeholders
• Build franchise-specific roadmaps, user journeys, and consumer-communications plans
• Monitor franchise, competitor, industry, and social trend
• Provide visibility to leadership regarding status, risks, and key learnings on projects
• Conduct recurring reviews on strategic performance, KPIs, and insights
• Contribute to a positive work environment and a healthy team culture
Requirements
• A minimum of 5 years’ experience in digital program or project management roles
• Excellent written and verbal communications skills in English
• Proven experience building business cases and establishing clear project vision
• Able to work with a wide variety of teams throughout design, engineering, marketing and public relations (PR)
• Expertise with data driven-insights and various analytics tools
• Web and mobile development experience, particularly leaning towards user experience (UX) and product design
• A passion for video games (solid knowledge on Blizzard games) and esports
• Familiar with paid media and CRM
• Unrelenting self-motivation and initiative
• A passion for organization and planning
Pluses
• Bachelor's degree, or equivalent experience in a related field
• A minimum of 3 year’s working at a digital marketing agency or in the esports industry
• Web and database development expertise
• Basic knowledge of analysis tools such as Google Analytics, R, Matlab, or SAS
• Fluent in additional European languages
• Industry experience in video games ideally having launched an AAA game
