We’re looking for a Social Media Manager to join a passionate and creative team and engage our robust, online community.
The Social Media Coordinator must be a natural marketer with a deep understanding of social media and fan communities. This role will be responsible for day-to-day community engagement as a means to broaden Crunchyroll’s off-platform audience. Duties include promotion of Crunchyroll priorities, including but not limited to: simulcast marketing, subscriber development, events, merchandise sales, corporate partnerships, fan events and more.
The ideal candidate will be a self-starter, able to work both with and without direction, and have strong judgement skills for on-the-fly decision making. This role will be the primary means of representing dozens of anime titles to our audience and beyond, and will be responsible for maintaining quality on all posts. Coordinator will report to the Senior Social Media Manager and work towards defined team strategy and goals.
Candidates will need to show ability to collaborate and work across teams, as this position will interact with the acquisition, design, content, product, licensing, and merchandise departments. This position may be expected to tend to our social channels on nights and weekends on occasion. We are looking for a strong culture fit, someone who is highly motivated, creative, ambitious, and excited to engage a passionate fan base.
Responsibilities:
• Create regular and compelling original content across dozens of social media channels utilizing all common media formats.
• Develop and execute novel marketing campaigns on social media in coordination with the Senior Manager, as well as other teams and departments.
• Regularly optimize and evaluate current strategies to fit the constantly-evolving social media landscape.
• Keep up with up-to-the-minute social media trends, as well as trends within the anime community.
• Maintain Crunchyroll’s authentic tone and personality, while fostering relationships with fans and partners.
• Contribute to team goals around growth, engagement, and awareness.
• Positively and accurately represent hundreds of disparate franchises, company initiatives, and partnerships.

Requirements:
• 1-2 years of experience in social media marketing, or a related field (having a strong understanding of social media).
• Content, entertainment and/or media experience preferred.
• Demonstrated experience working on successful, creative and innovative marketing campaigns.
• Experience with use of analytics and data to support growth
• Experience managing multiple priorities and working across teams
• Strong sense of internet culture and trends in content and storytelling
• Ability to take direction and contribute to team goals
• Clear and precise communication skills, excellent grammar
• Respect for anime and its lifestyle and culture, familiarity with fandom communities
