The primary objective for the Associate Director, Ad Operations role is to provide experienced oversight, guidance and action to every project they are assigned to. A strong candidate for this position will have the knowledge and experience to connect different advertising technology platforms, be creative and to think outside the box. As someone who will review ad serving logic for video, programmatic, mobile web, in app and beyond, you will be leaned on as an internal expert to work across the company along with external clients when necessary. You will report directly to the Senior Director of Advertising Operations at Condé Nast.
Responsibilities:
• Drive video monetization efforts to help facilitate content and advertising distribution
• Lead the design of our DFP Network setup for O&O sites as well as third party distribution partners, mobile and tablet apps
• Own and sign off on all ad server integrations, both internal and external for display, native & video
• Partner with ad tech & product to help prioritize the roadmap
• Design integration requirements to include both direct and programmatic sales efforts
• Along with Ad Product, coordinate and execute on cross-building projects
• Work to translate requirements and specifications into feasible solutions for campaign and / or vendor execution; including but not limited to campaign delivery, inventory management and margin optimizations
• Be in-house expert for all things ad tech / ad serving
• Act as point of escalation with sales, product and site teams for any ad serving questions or related issues
• Collaborate and develop trusted relationships with all stakeholders across brands, sales, technology, product teams and operations teams
• Assist with testing and implementation of native ad products
• Manage library of content and key value targeting
• Define and document ad operations workflow, creating manuals for new and existing hires
• Work with Data & Research teams to help facilitate proper reporting for advertising needs
• Evangelize the adoption of evolving digital advertising methodologies to improve workflow and inform the CN Executive team on revenue strategies (i.e., new measurement and billing models
Requirements:
• 3-5 years of digital ad serving experience with a large focus on video
• Strong knowledge of ad servers (DFP Required, FreeWheel) (Sizmek, DV, IAS, MOAT, Atlas, etc)
• Ability to adapt quickly to changes
• Solid understanding of programmatic operations (header bidding, PMP, PG, AG, Server to Server, etc)
