We need a strong Sr. UX Designer / Team Lead to create a world class user experience for our clinical assessment products. The Sr. UX Designer / Team Lead will be responsible for delivering easy, intuitive and clean design and championing a strategic approach to design. The ideal candidate will have the right balance of independence and aptitude to work in a highly collaborative, cross-functional team.
Responsibilities
• Define the UX strategy for new and existing products to ensure continuity of user experience across products, platforms and form factors
• Identify meaningful UX metrics and set measurable and achievable product goals
• Align with corporate goals and exceed objectives
• Define best practices, create style guides and pattern libraries to ensure design consistency
• Create mockups, storyboards, visual prototypes and flow diagrams to communicate interaction and visual design plan
• Collaborate with engineering, business analysts and content developers to establish efficient and sustainable collaborative process
• Incorporate both qualitative and quantitative research into the design process and be able to articulate and defend design decisions using the same type of evidence
• Document and summarize work and present to senior leadership
• Mentor junior designers as needed
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in fine arts, graphic/web design, interaction design or equivalent experience
• 5-7+ years of relevant work experience
• Ability to quickly prototype new ideas, concepts and design solutions and perform under pressure
• Proficiency in wireframing and prototyping software – i.e., Axure, InVision, etc.
• Experience with highly interactive mobile and/or responsive design
• Ability to work in highly collaborative, fast paced environments
• Excellent organizational and time management skills
• Deep knowledge of user interface patterns for digital design
• Portfolio required
Preferred:
• Experience with learning or educational software
• Experience creating product roadmaps in agile environments
• Experience with enterprise and/or government users
• Experience designing software for young children
• Experience facilitating and conduct design studios
• Experience with user testing
• Experience with accessibility
• Working knowledge of CSS
