Sr. Analyst, Procurement Operations
The Procurement Analyst will support the Director of Procurement Operations by gathering and analyzing spend and supplier data, recommending opportunities for cost savings and efficiencies, and supporting transactional procurement processes across Sony Pictures Entertainment’s (“SPE”) business units.
The ideal candidate has strong business-problem solving and analytic skills along with great interpersonal skills.
Responsibilities:
Data Definition and Analysis
• Understand and manipulate spend and supplier data from SPE’s various spend and cost management systems to identify opportunities for cost savings.
• Profile suppliers and segment spend.
• Perform total cost/supply analysis to identify opportunities
• Gather market research/data and conduct qualitative and quantitative analysis to develop tailend spend strategies and provide recommendations.
Project Management Support
• Support project management team: managing project budgets, tracking key project milestones/timelines, following up with project stakeholders, and escalating risks / dependencies.
• Generate and communicate project updates to management and key stakeholders.
Provide Recommendations
• Develop clear, analytical executive-level presentations of process improvement recommendations and service/KPI reporting.
• Recommend opportunities for data improvement, and cleansing.
• Review internal processes and policies and provide recommendations for improvement and optimization.
Support Procurement Operations and Contracts Management Functions
• Participate in cross-functional sourcing projects.
• Conduct RFI, RFQ, RFP events in support of Procurement Operations.
• Manage contract negotiations for purchase of goods and services.
• Manage subscription renewals and updates.
• Ensure compliance with Procurement policies and best practices.
• Assist in developing and managing a centralized pricing and term database.
• Validate purchase requests against established and negotiated pricing.
• Tools, systems, and administrative support for the Procurement Operations team.
Other
• Contribute work, ideas and process improvement efficiencies.
• Show a drive to achieve/exceed performance objectives.
• Experience:
◦ 2 to 3 years of experience in procurement (Preferred).
◦ Procurement experience in: spend analysis, process mapping, process improvement, contract administration, contract management, and sourcing events.
• Education:
◦ Undergraduate Degree (Required)
◦ Business/Finance/Marketing related degree (Preferred)
◦ CPM/CPSM/FCCM or other similar certification (Preferred)
• Skills:
◦ MS Office Suite skills (Required)
# Excel (pivot tables, nested if function, vlookup).
# PowerPoint (advanced design/layout).
◦ Proficiency in sourcing skills and procure-to-pay functions.
◦ Strong business problem solving skills
◦ Strong interpersonal and communication skills (both written and in person).
◦ Project management skills and ability to handle multiple projects at the same time.
