Job Summary:
The Senior Director, Digital Packaging & Product Strategy is responsible for leading a team in developing compelling sales and marketing strategies as well as materials that drive digital and cross-platform advertising revenue for iHeartMedia across multiple categories. Reporting to the the VP of Packaging & GTM Strategy and in partnership with Sales/Marketing leadership at iHeartMedia, the candidate will help lead efforts to build out strategies and materials that highlight digital solutions that are differentiated and meet the demand of the media marketplace to drive revenue as well as custom solutions for specific advertiser proposals.
We are seeking a candidate that is a proven star in the media/marketing solutions space. This candidate has strong storytelling and writing skills, but can also understand and leverage data and insights to build an analytical case for our digital solutions. Additionally, the candidate should have a strong background and working knowledge of the digital media marketplace. They will also have polished written and oral communication skills to communicate their ideas to upper management, team members and clients. Collaboration is key as they will be working with Sales, Marketing, Research, Creative Services and Product Teams.
Responsibilities:
• Work with the VP of Packaging & GTM on digital sales packages, product positioning, and overall GTM strategy to strengthen iHeartMedia’s leadership among agencies and clients
• Develop and help oversee the maintenance of Ad Sales marketing materials, including one-sheets, presentations, case studies, etc.
• Develop strong working relationships with other departments and key stakeholders including Product, Programming, Research and Creative Services
• Message and package digital product offerings and tailor positioning to key verticals as appropriate
• Assist in the development of strategy and positioning of new digital ad products and sponsorships
• Track the performance of packages via available metrics and marketplace feedback in order to inform and optimize go-forward efforts
• Work with ad sales research to surface trends and insights around key audience segments, categories, media consumption habits, etc. in order to better position iHeartMedia offerings
Experience/Qualifications:
• 8f+ years-experience in marketing solutions, sales development for a digital publisher and/or digital media agency role
• A proven track-record of building out creative marketing solutions that drive results
• A strong understanding of how to leverage qualitative and quantitative insights to deliver advertising solutions
• An ability to manage challenging and complex projects and build consensus in a multi-layered organization
• Excellent oral and written communication and presentation skills
• Strong design sensibility for sales/marketing collateral
• Bachelor’s Degree required
