Job Title Strategist - MXM
Social Strategist (Entertainment Focus)
Want to be part of an award-winning content agency, creating industry-lauded social marketing programs? MXM is searching for an experienced Strategist who can guide teams to deliver innovative, noteworthy and engaging strategies for major brands across social media and other emerging channels, with a specific focus on entertainment and social TV.
The Strategist is responsible for serving a group of current and potential TV and film clients, working in collaboration with cross-functional teams of experts from across MXM to solidify marketing plans and drive strategic recommendations. Successful candidates should be intelligent self-starters; big picture thinkers who are constantly curious about the latest emerging digital trends; organized professionals with strong written and oral communications skills; creative collaborators ready to work with national teams on fast-moving brand campaigns; and practitioners who love to not only work but also play in the social space.
This position:
• Sets the strategic and creative marketing direction for major entertainment properties in partnership with MXM’s social engagement team, including brand voice and tone, content direction and year-round marketing activations
• Develops a high volume of go-to-market plans for TV series, from strategic areas of focus to the appropriate social channel ecosystem and tactics therein
• Monitors, collects and refines strategic direction based on social and content marketing advancements, entertainment industry research, and competitive intel
• Becomes an expert in viewer behavior as it pertains to social media
• Educates team members and clients on opportunities for innovation, drafting agency POVs and trainings
• Interfaces directly with clients, internal departments and technology vendors on a regular basis to manage programs and optimize deliverables
• Identifies and manages strategic implementation of technology and social platform partner relationships
• Helps to lead strategic planning sessions and workshops for larger client enterprise
Minimum Qualifications: All must be met to be considered.
Education:
Bachelor's Degree required, or equivalent training and/or experience.
Experience:
At least 5 years social marketing experience, preferably in a strategic role
Specific Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
• Demonstrates knowledge of social marketing landscape, especially social TV
• Strong client communication and presentation skills
• Proactive, self-starter who can collaborate with team members nationwide
