Our Feature Post Production team is looking for an Originals Digital Distribution Supervisor.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Schedule
• Partners closely with the Post Supervisor on each Original show to generate a delivery schedule of all domestic and foreign assets to clients on multiple shows at any time. Ensures that the Post Supervisor on each show is aware of the schedule and deadline for delivery of domestic assets and works closely (daily contact) with the Post Supe to ensure those deadlines are met.
• Working with the Int’l Dubbing Supervisor and various vendors to develop and manage dubbing, closed caption and subtitling schedules.
• Looks ahead to ensure that deadlines are met.
• Understands how changes may affect the budget, scheduling and overtime and communicates the impact of these changes to the Post Executive.
• Ensures that elements needed for dubbing and translation purposes are delivered on schedule to ensure all creative, budget and delivery milestones are met.
• Attend Post Production meetings and provide updates to attendees. Attend a weekly Netflix conference call to ensure Netflix is up to date on the schedule of delivery of all assets.
• Work with NBCU to create a schedule of delivery of assets to 2nd window territories..
Processes
• Create and maintain a delivery schedule of all assets both for dubbing and for final delivery. This schedule needs to be updated daily and communicated to all parties on a regular basis.
• Ensures that work-in-progress dubbing reference materials, scripts and casting clips are created and delivered to the Intl Dubbing Supervisor on schedule. Ensures that the deadlines for the creation of Key Names and Phrases and Character Names documents for each episode are clearly communicated to the Int’l Dubbing Supervisor..
• Ensures that work-in-progress files are submitted for the HARDING test on schedule.
• Work closely with the encoding facility to ensure that the encoding schedule for picture, audio and text files are met.
• Partner with Marketing to ensure that they are aware of the delivery schedule of final assets, so that Marketing can provide artwork and metadata on the same schedule.
• Ensure Archive of all assets and paperwork is delivered to DWA Archives.
• Work with Home Entertainment on delivery of domestic and int’l assets for domestic Home Entertainment for each episode.
Managerial
• Interacts with all levels of Production Management (i.e., Directors, Producers, Executives), as well as other departments.
• Remain calm under pressure and provide clear, calm leadership to Coordinator and PAs when conflicting priorities arise.
• Supervises work contracted to Post facilities.
• Works with Int’l Dubbing Supervisor and Post Supervisor in driving the delivery schedule for each episode.
• Plays a leadership role in department meetings, manages expectations and communicates studio updates.
• Works with the Post Director and Post Executive to ensure that OT is managed and approved when necessary.
• Supports and represents directives for the studio and / or production leadership.
Qualifications:
• Knowledge of Word, Excel, Outlook; familiarity with internet and email.
• Knowledge of FileMaker Pro or other equivalent database software
• Superb written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong time management skills; excellent multi-tasker and able to work well in a high-pressure environment.
Education and/or Experience:
• Extensive experience in Post Production, preferably in both Theatrical and TV.
