Description
The Social Media Manager creates and drives WSE International’s social media strategy across its global network. As WSE is a premium provider of English language learning services, social media plays a critical role in our marketing mix to deliver engagement with the brand and sales through direct advertising response.
The Social Media Manager manages social media channels (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Pinterest, Youtube) and works closely with the social media managers in all WSE Franchise territories to ensure best practice is followed, and significant measureable gains are achieved on a sustained basis in terms of marketing performance.
The Social Media Manager is obsessed by data, measurement and testing, and also masters and is excited by innovative and creative ways to drive engagement and reach in markets as diverse as Colombia, Vietnam and France.
Essential duties and responsibilities include the following:
• Social media strategy: Develop and implement social media strategy through competitive research, platform determination, benchmarking, testing, messaging and audience identification
• Content management and editorial: Create editorial calendars and syndication schedules. Generate, edit, publish and share content (original text, images, video or HTML).
• Monitoring and Optimization: Manage and optimize company presence within each platform to increase the visibility of company’s social content to boost brand reach and engagement. Management of social media monitoring tools.
• Lead generation: Originate and execute advertising tactics across the network that deliver effective and efficient lead generation via social channels, including mobile app install campaigns.
• Innovate: Drive innovation across the Network in relation to adoption of winning marketing tactics, new tools and techniques. Be a thought leader.
• Performance marketing: Continuously improve by capturing and analyzing the appropriate social data/metrics, insights and best practices, and then acting on the information. Monitor effectiveness and ROI of spend of social channels against defined and rigorously measured KPIs.
• Training and network development: Work closely with social media managers in franchised markets to deliver best practice with respect to brand development, reputation management and lead generation. This will take the form of training and policy/guideline development as needed.
• Budget and agency management: Manage the social media budget for WSE International and associated agencies. Provide guidance to the network on budget.
• Communicate:Communicate progress and strategy on a regular basis to the Senior Management teams and across departments at both WSE International and in territories
Qualifications
Minimum requirements:
● Minimum 3 year’s professional experience in social media optimization, online marketing
● University degree in relevant field (e.g. Marketing, business)
● Demonstrable experience of managing social media, mobile and online marketing campaigns from inception to successful execution in international markets
● Experience with Facebook/Twitter ad platforms (Facebook Power Editor)
● Experience running online marketing tests (A/B)
● Mastery of social monitoring and analytical tools
● Native or bilingual speaker of English
● Demonstrated experience managing a marketing budget
● Strong presentation skills
Content creation and optimization for social channels
Nice to have:
● Experience with marketing automation tools (e.g. Hubspot)
● Experience managing social ad campaigns to drive mobile app installs
● Blogging or online journalism experience
● Knowledge of video-editing software and Photoshop (or equivalent)
● Knowledge and experience with SEO
● Second (or more) language(s)
● Former experience working with language learners an advantage
