VML seeks a Creative Asset Specialist to join our Integrated Production team. The ideal candidate has a passion for technology, video production, creative asset management and digital media and is meticulously organized. This is a fun, casual, yet fast-paced, environment. Expect to juggle multiple projects and deadlines — so possessing the ability to manage one’s time and prioritize tasks is a must.
Responsibilities:
• Take in and log all media from cards, drives or digital delivery to the SAN, MAM and LTO
• Metadata entry for corresponding media
• Develop, maintain and enforce procedures for file management
• Training editors on archival systems and practices
• Work with IT team to address post technology, workflow and process needs
• Informing the process of management of all creative assets, from video and photography to fonts and creative project files
• Education of the creative teams on proper asset archiving and management
• Other post production, media and technical duties as assigned
• Must be willing to work in Kansas City, MO

Required Skills:
• Expert level knowledge of asset management and digital media including codecs, image types, resolutions, frame rates
• Strong understanding of Adobe Creative Cloud apps, Facilis Terrablock, CatDV, StorageDNA, or similar
• Experience with fiber-connected SANs, server maintenance, media archival and retrieval.
• Highly organized: must be detail oriented
• Strong communication skills with team members and clients
• 3-5 years of experience in post-production, asset management or digital field
