SUMMARY
The Operations Training Coordinator is responsible for improving the effectiveness and efficiency of Pearson VUE’s global operations teams and test centers through training. The Operations Training Coordinator works directly with the Senior Operations Trainer to meet the test center and global operations training objectives. The Operations Training Coordinator assists with the creation, development and implementation of training while supporting a training hub model.
SCOPE AND IMPACT OF JOB
The Operations Training Coordinator will provide support to the overall global operations and test center training process. As a member of the training team, this individual will be quality-focused ensuring training needs and objectives are met. The Operations Training Coordinator will assist with the development, implementations, evaluation and tracking . The Operations Training Coordinator will continually seek opportunities for improving the training process or enhancing the training provided. The Operations Training Coordinator will play an instrumental role in making sure members of the global operations teams and test centers have the required information and knowledge regarding specific products, features and tools.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
Training Coordination
• Assist in designing, preparing and maintaining training materials for global operations and test centers
• Help build training objectives and agendas
• Develop skills in eLearning tools (i.e. Storyline) and in Videoscribe
• Review and proofread training materials providing timely and effective feedback
• Assemble and distribute course materials and learning aides as needed
• Analyze and identify new training tools to enhance overall training capabilities
• Help maintain Neo site and SharePoint site training initiatives
• Cross-functional collaboration to ensure Pearson-owned and third-party test center training is current and engaging.
• Become a Pearson Learning Management Systems (LMS) Champion and assist Senior Operations Trainer in driving its use within global operations.
Training Support
• Maintain master schedule of operational training
• Track training by session showing hours delivered and employees attended so data can be reported monthly
• Assist in monitoring the effectiveness of global training programs through surveys and quality monitoring
• Working with Senior Operations Trainer to ensure global operations and test center training materials are current and documentation controls are in place.
• Identify opportunities to enhance training
• Provide support to Process Improvement and Global Operations Readiness initiatives
Qualifications
Education and Experience:
• Bachelor’s Degree preferred
• 2 years’ experience as a training coordinator or work in a related environment preferred
• Strong interest in the field of training, teaching or coaching
• Advanced PowerPoint skills required
• Experience with Microsoft Office Suite and Microsoft Windows 2000 & Windows XP
• Knowledge of interactive eLearning software (i.e. Articulate Storyline, Adobe Captivate) is preferred
• Knowledge of video editor software (i.e. Camtasia Studio) is preferred
• Knowledge of Articulate Online is preferred
• Voice over project experience preferred
