Job Summary:
The Coordinator's main tasks are to produce, shoot, host and edit shows that will be aired on TVC9 community television.
Job duties / accountabilities:
• Produce television shows by participating in every aspect of the production, alone, or in close collaboration with members of the community and the TVC9 team.
• Participate in designing and developing show concepts.
• Perform research work, location scouting.
• Plan, coordinate and carry out shoots while maximizing visual and sound quality.
• Host the shows and lead interviews, as needed.
• Do the video and audio editing for the shows.
• Collaborate on the airing of shows for delivery and broadcasting while respecting programming time frames.
• Provide training, support and guide the work of volunteer collaborators by giving them advice and feedback.
• Occasionally act as representative during various regional events and festivals in order to promote the TVC9 brand.
Essential Qualifications / competencies:
• ACS or DCS in multimedia or TV production
• Knowledge of Adobe CS4 software: Premiere Pro, Photoshop, Illustrator
• Expertise in the production industry
• Excellent knowledge of written and spoken French
• Solid knowledge of MS Office tools;
Preferred Qualifications / competencies:
• Possess knowledge of the region and the TV industry
• Be a dynamic and social person with creative and technical skills
• Possess a keen sense of autonomy, organizational skills and commitment
• Have an aptitude for teamwork.
Other:
• Must be able to occasionally travel to remote areas
• Possess a valid driver's licence as well as a vehicle to get around
Bilingualism is an asset (English and French)
