We are currently seeking a Higher Education Portfolio Managerwho will be responsible for the Higher Education portfolio strategy and execution of go-to-market plans including:
1. Collecting & feeding back customer insight;
2. Prioritizing segments by country;
3. Product selection & launch planning in association with global product teams;
4. Product marketing campaign planning;
5. Forecasting and measurement.
Based in Singapore, you will be the main interface between the Asia sales and marketing directors, and the Global Product Organizations.
Key Deliverables
• Establish our ability to meet each segment’s needs based on our product portfolio and existing sales capability; identify opportunities and approaches to further expand our go to market capabilities in partnership with the sales managers/ directors
• Conduct market research as an input to product planning or launch as required
• Play an active role in the development of any custom solutions, including product requirements, operational needs and business model. Work collaboratively to identify customer focused solutions
• Execute regional agreements with partner platforms (e.g., ebook providers, LMS) that might expand the reach of our content.
• Train marketing, sales and partners in key product features, benefits and outcomes
• Train sales teams on customer profiles; key messages; successful implementation examples and on relevant education trends and research
• Working with GPO and Marketing to identify & co-ordinate GPO Teacher Training & train the trainer
• Support sales and service delivery teams on customer visits as product and category expert. Do joint calling and presentations as required
• Define the infrastructure needed for long term customer success including customer service, distribution, tech support, training
• Set project plans, timelines and objectives with relevant local teams (e.g., enabling functions, service delivery); track project metrics and ensure projects meet customer needs
• Understand & adapt global marketing campaigns and work with Hub marketing team to develop local marketing plans per country to include collateral requirements, mail campaigns, social media, teacher training, author events, # of teachers reached, allocate Geo budget & share/review with GPO
• Develop and deliver financial forecast for the product portfolio
• Support sales teams to set trade terms and pricing by segment, especially for new products or go to market models - provide up to date information on global pricing policies for your segments
• Build business cases for product customization or marketing plans as required
• Work with local finance and analytics team to agree scope and timeline for any required pricing analysis
• Review results of research and understand impact on revenue forecasts
Qualifications
Requirements:
• Experience in the HE market with direct experience of working with university administrators, lecturers and students
• Experience defining and delivering plans (product and/ or marketing) that are linked to market trends and deliver growth
• Proven experience in leading a varied group of stakeholders across a wide geographic area to buy into and deliver on our plans.
• Proficient at building relationships both internally and externally
• Highly organised, focused and driven with a track record in the delivery of projects to time and scope
• Presentation skills and training experience
• Fluent in written and spoken English.
• Having experience in conducting market and customer research, defining product requirements and estimating and planning from a commercial perspective with external customers and sales teams would be an added advantage.
• Good to have also marketing, sales management or business development experience
IT Literacy
• Microsoft Office Suite
• Having high levels excel, powerpoint expertise and design abilities will be an added advantage
