Responsibilities
Responsible for providing strategic direction and operational oversight for Universal CityWalk Hollywood. The Senior Vice President will uphold and further Universal CityWalk standards of operations and our culture of quality and personalized customer service at owned and leased concepts. The role will lead and ensure the timely execution of development and growth objectives and goals for CityWalk, and maintain exceptional business standards, including profit and loss oversight, tenant relations and new leasing opportunities.
Responsibilities:
•Direct all functions in the total footprint of CityWalk, overall Guest and Team Member experience at CityWalk, tenant relations, and ensuring operating and safety standards are maintained. Accountable for CityWalk as a stand-alone business unit.
•Develop long term strategic plan for CityWalk and update annually. Manage and direct all Universal CityWalk Leasing activities and key tenant relationships including the identification of new tenants and 3rd party services for Universal CityWalk.
•Manage and direct the revenue producing, owned and operated business for Universal CityWalk with a focus on revenue and margin generation, controls and performance. Develop and execute strategies to ensure achievement of divisional objectives and plans.
•Responsible for overall quality of the guest experience in owned and leased concepts, working in concert with Universal Parks and Resorts vision and standards. This includes leading the ongoing strategic development and innovation of our food and beverage concepts and strategies, and process improvement initiatives.
•Develop and drive planning of new business opportunities, focusing on trends and changes in the market. Direct budgeting process and daily management of budgets, analyzing fluctuations in business units and instituting changes/enhancements as necessary.
•Critically analyze all metrics; including but not limited to, financial reports, guest satisfaction, financial audits, and team member satisfaction surveys.
•Provide strong effective leadership and mentoring to the CityWalk team that also includes members from marketing, entertainment, leasing and overall operations team. Create a culture of a passion for excellent guest experience.
•Serve as CityWalk business liaison on all key community relations matters.
Qualifications/Requirements
•Bachelor’s degree from a four year college or university in Business, Hospitality Management or related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
•10+ Years of proven Senior Level Management experience leading revenue operations in emerging and established concepts in retail, restaurant and specialty food environments.
•Proven experience integrating exceptional standards of guest service across multiple concepts and functions.
•Proven experience evaluating and analyzing consumer trends that drive sound product and brand innovation and ongoing program development.
•Exceptional communication, organizational and project management skills, with strong ability to collaborate across the business.
•Able to be flexible and multi-task; can work within an ambiguous, fast-moving environment, while also driving toward clarity and solutions.
Desired Characteristics
•MBA highly preferred.
•Clearly demonstrates exceptional business acumen, strong analytical, financial and quantitative and creative problem solving skills. Must possess a high level of attention to detail with a proven ability to be a strategic operational leader with an ability to be hands-on.
•Strong results orientation and entrepreneurial spirit with ability to anticipate opportunities/problems and implement change to grow the business.
•Demonstrated resourcefulness in setting priorities and guiding investment in people and systems.
•Experience working within the Theme park or theme based hospitality industry preferred.
•Possess personal qualities of integrity, credibility, and commitment to the organizational values.
•Demonstrated ability to effectively inspire, develop and lead a large team.
•Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously in fast-paced environment.
