Primary Responsibilites
60% Market Research through Secondary Sources
• Compile and actively maintain a collection of industry reports, whitepapers, and articles.
• Update the Business Strategy and Planning Manager with any data or analysis deemed relevant.
• Collect and compile state and/or country certification standards, policies, and funding mechanisms, and make this data accessible to decision makers.
20% Primary Market Research
• By assignment, assist in the development, deployment, and/or analysis of market-facing surveys.
• By assignment, conduct or assist with customer interviews and facilitate focus groups.
15% Ad-hoc projects as assigned by the Business Strategy & Planning Manager
5% Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Education and Experience
• Completion of at least some Junior level coursework leading towards a Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or other related field.
• .5+ years of experience (in classroom or applied) using Excel for basic data analysis
• .5+ years of experience (in classroom or applied) using PowerPoint (or similar application) to present ideas or research
• Some coursework or experience in qualitative and/or quantitative research or analysis
Skills, Knowledge and Abilities
• Basic research and analytical skills
• Good attention to detail and accuracy
• Basic ability to recognize patterns in sets of data
• Ability to effectively communicate ideas
• Comfortable initiating contact with people to conduct interviews, focus groups, etc.
• Ability to take direction and effectively report on progress towards goals and tasks
