Job Summary:
The position is responsible for driving Consumer Demand (calls, clicks, visits), Offer and Go-To-Market Strategy for the West Division. This includes responsibility for consumer segmentation and key programs such as Winback, Movers and University strategies. Serves as a key liaison between Region, Division, Corporate marketing personnel to bring new quarterly playbooks, products, services and programs to market. Provides leadership and direction for immediate team of 5 managers/specialists. Position will have responsibility for developing and managing subscriber and associated program expense budgets.
Primary Responsibilities:
• Establishes and executes directly and through others the organization's to drive the consumer GTM strategy to attain consumer/product gross add target expectations by region/division
• Program management responsibility to measure, identify performance gaps, and develops quarterly go-to-market strategies; including contingency planning
• Partners with and holds accountable the regional marketing leadership and support teams to deliver on results, marketing and sales plans
• Serves as the division's subject matter expert for all things associated with Segments, Winback, Direct Mail/Collateral, Movers, and University programs
• Serves as liaison between Region, Division, and Corporate marketing personnel to ensure that each group is informed of most recent quarterly playbooks and plans. Provides leadership and direction for teams which may include multiple functional areas. Develops and implements strategy for and through other functional area(s).
• Is involved with setting gross add/connect targets, budgets and forecasts for demand for the call center, retail, and .com sales channels
Core Responsibilities:
• Manages and directs Marketing team and ensures that production meets the budgeted level and meets program objectives, including timely delivery of objectives.
• Ensures the competence and continuity of qualified Marketing staff through optimum selection, training and development, appraisal, and motivation techniques.
• Serves as the department liaison and Subject Matter Expert to Engineering, Field Marketing, Customer Service, Product Management, and Sales.
• Participates in strategic plan development and building of alliances with industry partners, networks, etc. as needed to achieve product growth objectives. Influences sales channel incentives through offer strategy. Consults with Marketing/Sales to identify, define, size, and prioritize strategic analytics opportunities.
• Works closely with customer care, Sales, Finance, and Legal teams to assist with development and implementation of core business, competitive, and new product marketing plans and strategies to achieve all subscriber and revenue growth goals. Provides guidance to local/external analysts to ensure strategic alignment, effective use, and development of resources.
• Oversees and develops financial models in designing packaging and pricing to ensure competitive position in market.
• Develops new ideas and communicates potential uses for analytics across the business. Communicates learning/recommendations and obtains buy-in from Sales, Marketing, and senior leaders. Develops measurement systems for programs.
• Serves as primary contact with program suppliers for implementation of acquisition and retention activities.
• Oversees the recruiting, hiring, and evaluating of the Marketing staff to ensure that the appropriate level of support is available and maintained.
• Maintains and improves ongoing marketing programs, analyses, and reports.
• Consistent exercise of independent judgment and discretion in matters of significance.
• Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Job Specification:
Bachelors Degree or Equivalent
Generally requires 10+ years related experience
Additional Requirements:
• Proven leadership with GTM and segmentation strategies preferred.
• Experience working in a highly matrixed environment a plus.
• Approximately 15% travel will be required.
