Job Summary:
The Marketing Manager will develop and implement marketing strategy and research in support of company and local revenue goals, as directed by the Minneapolis Branch President & Regional Marketing Leader. The Marketing Manager/Director will lead and mentor the Minneapolis marketing and creative team. The role is focused on creating a cohesive, high-performance, results-oriented culture facilitating communication, education and sharing of best practices.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Develop strategic marketing plan that identifies & directs marketing activities toward opportunities for revenue growth.
◦ Work with local sales team to create supporting sales materials, with keen focus on addressing customer objectives & illustrating value delivered by CCO
◦ Assist in developing sales strategies and go-to-market plans for key media products
◦ Build, report and communicate metrics that track success of marketing campaigns and activities
◦ Identify market trends and forward-looking opportunities to increase market share
• Serve as local expert in media strategy, research insights and product innovation, while providing education and support on these priorities.
◦ Assist sales with development & delivery of key client proposals & presentations
◦ Develop sales packages and presentations that facilitate the proactive sale of key media products and solutions
◦ Create target client & category profiles and sales tools; assist sales to help identify key selling points & insights that create revenue opportunity across categories
• Align local Marketing organization, ensuring establishment of optimal roles and measures of accountability.
◦ Develop processes & tools that streamline workflows and track revenue impact
◦ On-board & provide ongoing support to local marketing team
◦ Facilitate regular communication; share & elevate repeatable successes both within Minneapolis and to broader Regional Marketing team
MANAGEMENT SKILLS:
• Bachelor’s degree with a concentration in Marketing or a proven track record of success in Marketing
• 5+ years of experience working with Sales & Marketing teams in the media/advertising environment.
• Demonstrates optimal leadership with experience in developing marketing strategy, managing short- and long-term projects, driving collaboration across teams, superior sales collaboration , applying critical & analytical thinking to solve business problems and tracking results.
• Strong understanding of core marketing functions with demonstrated ability to leverage research resources, position media/products/capabilities, and optimize communications.
• Must have strong time management skills, with ability work well under pressure and tight deadlines
• Be highly motivated and well organized.
• Have excellent interpersonal, presentation and communication skills
• Read and write concise, persuasive business correspondence and marketing materials.
• Strong technical skills with experience on both Windows and Macintosh platforms. Must be proficient in PowerPoint & Excel.
• Ability to think things through and develop processes that contribute to enhanced organizational efficiency.
