Job Description
Reporting to the Sr Ecommerce Product Manager, the Ecommerce Solutions Business Analyst is a vital link between Business teams and Information Technology, aiming at transforming business requirements into solutions. As part of the Ecommerce Product team, the Business Analyst uses modeling tools to document the current state of business features & processes as well as the desired future state.
Responsibilities
• Performs feasibility analysis, scopes projects, and helps defining value & risk of requirements provided by stakeholders;
• Creates detailed Business Requirement Document (BRD) and translate it into functional specifications.
• Create functional requirements in use cases. Coordinate requirements walk-through and sign-offs, verifying with stakeholders that use cases and process models accurately portray business requirements
• Manage the requirements lifecycle with traceability from business requirements to User Acceptance Testing (UAT);
• Provides analytic support by coordinating data extraction from various databases and data interpretation.
• Participate in the evaluation and benchmarking of market solutions when required;
• Assist Product Owners during the implementation of solutions;
• Deliver training and product/process documentation for knowledge transfer;
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Computer Science or related field
• Minimum of 3 years in Business Analysis or equivalent experience
• Experience in IT projects, working across organizational boundaries on a local and global basis is an asset, easily adaptable to changes in a fast-paced environment
• Great communication skills, good listening skills, ability to simplify the complex and assertiveness
• Autonomous, analytical and organized, you are curious and proactive, able to work on multiple initiatives at the same time
• Data analysis skills (using Excel, SQL or other tools)
• Excellent English skills (spoken and written)
• Basic understanding of application programming languages and components, object and service oriented programming, interface ergonomics and design
• Experience in Digital Commerce, User Experience and/or Entertainment Industry is a strong plus
Time Allocation
• 30% capturing business needs and modeling requirements through dialogue with stakeholders
• 20% understanding end-user requirements & market best practices
• 25% working on solution design and communicating with solutions team
• 10% project management
• 10% integration planning/dependency management/business process mapping, and
• 5% supporting testing.
