Job Summary:
The Strategic Development team builds new businesses and leads Comcast's partnerships to improve Comcast's products and services and drive growth.
Responsible for executing on new growth opportunities across a variety of business and technology sectors. Works with business, product and technology stakeholders to understand their objectives, formulate strategies and tactics and how external partnerships can drive results.
Develop strategy and goals for partnerships and how they impact current businesses. Identify potential partners, build relationships and finalize agreements. Negotiate terms and conditions of business agreements. Gain internal consensus and approval for partnerships. Provides leadership and direction for working with external partners.
• Research new technologies and industry trends to understand market players and norms, business models and product use cases. Develop strategies based on data, analysis and research for Comcast to develop or enhance our products and business opportunities.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to build buy-in and alignment for partnerships or other agreements.
• Screen potential deals by analyzing market strategies, internal interest, overall potential, deal requirements, and financial impacts. Develop relationships with partners with goal of closing agreements.
• Construct term sheets, develop the negotiation strategy and manage and assist in the negotiation of commercial or partnership agreements. Works with legal, finance and business owners to identify deal and contract priorities on an ongoing basis.
• Manage deal process by coordinating and documenting requirements with stakeholders and communicating status, risks and issues on a consistent basis.
• Develop new business ideas including building financial models, business strategies and partnerships.
• Develop effective presentations to succinctly communicate strategies, plans or issues to stakeholders and senior management.
• Review and collaborate on short and long range plans, goals, and programs with business owners and stakeholders.
Core Responsibilities:
• Designs and manages partner programs, including responding to requests from potential partners, evaluating partnership opportunities, and concluding partnership deals.
• Identifies, analyzes and develops market.
• Performs financial analyses and supports other analysis and business planning as necessary.
• Works closely with prospective and existing partners to identify and develop products and services and ensure successful launches.
• Maintains and manages the company's portfolio with the objective of maximizing resources and driving sustainable revenue models.
• Works with Legal Department to negotiate and close licensing and revenue sharing agreements.
• Helps manage department priorities.
• Consistent exercise of independent judgment and discretion in matters of significance.
• Regular, consistent and punctual attendance. Must be able to work nights and weekends, variable schedule(s) as necessary.
• Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Job Specification:
• Bachelors Degree or Equivalent
• Business, Finance
• Generally requires 10+ years related experience
