Job Summary
Responsible for directing a department of program and project managers which manages a portfolio of cross-functional strategic initiatives. Responsible for translating the needs of the organization into business solutions to maximize benefits across the enterprise.
Essential Functions of the POSITION
• Implement and enhance consistent program management best practices to ensure optimized product and project delivery aligned with company initiatives and expectations
• Develop strong partnerships with project sponsor organizations to optimize delivery for programs
• Partner cross functionally to deliver projects in a manner that optimizes the delivery approach across the enterprise
• Work with the business leaders to identify process improvement opportunities and system solutions. Serves as the integration point to support complex, enterprise wide initiatives.
• Manage relationships with leaders who are responsible for direct project planning, capital budgeting and resource allocation
• Develop an effective front line Leadership team and assist them with developing their direct reports as to drive a high performance culture and environment
• Provide leadership and direction for new or existing technologies and current operational initiatives
• Evaluate strategic initiatives and consult with all levels of leadership to communicate program strategy, direction and changes
• Review selections on bids for contracted projects, and provide recommendations as necessary
• Provide input into the capital budget process for the organization and the programs; execute the approved budget plan
• Ensure solutions are tested appropriately and improve the overall customer experience
• Ensure adherence to company TQA policies
• Perform other duties as requested
BASIC / MiNIMUM Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in engineering, technical, or related field, or equivalent experience
• Minimum ten (10) years experience in the Telecommunications Industry
• Minimum five (5) years of management experience
• Minimum five (5) years experience managing complex programs or projects.

Advanced ability to implement program management strategies, disciplines, and theories into a shared vision
Advanced understanding of the core business processes and existing system capabilities
Advanced ability to communicate with senior levels of management and company personnel
In-depth knowledge of consulting skills
In-depth knowledge of business process re-engineering
Advanced knowledge of video, internet, phone residential and business product features and network capabilities
Advanced ability in successfully managing complex, enterprise-wide IT programs
Advanced understanding and ability to successfully manage complex program and project budgets
Ability to make decisions and solve problems while working under pressure
Ability to lead and motivate others
Advanced ability in mitigating risk and implementing contingency plans
Advanced ability to use personal computer and software applications particularly project management tools
Ability to read, write and speak the English language to communicate with employees, customers, suppliers, in person, on the phone, and by written communications in a clear, straight-forward, and professional manner
Additional qualifications
• Advanced management or technical degree desired but not required
