POSITION OVERVIEW:
The Director of Alternate Channel Marketing is responsible for building and implementing an Alternate Channels program for the Spectrum Enterprise organization including Value Added Resellers (VAR), Systems Integrators (SI), Agent, Navisite Direct & Partners and Carrier. This leaders will be responsible for identifying prospects, developing Channel Partner and nurturing existing relationships. This leader will work with the respective sales leaders to set revenue objectives and develop business plans to achieve sales targets.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Responsible for building out the Alternate Channel, Navisite & Carrier Field Marketing organization.
• Creates a business plan to establish an alternate channel program including VAR, systems integrators (SI), Agent, Navisite & Carrier.
• Develops and implements Alternate Channel, Navisite (including direct) & Carrier marketing strategy including overlay opportunities with Spectrum Enterprise.
• Develops and manages all Channel Partner contracts, promotions, programs standards, training and account activities.
• Works with brand & product marketing to develop promotions and promotional materials to increase sell through and return on investment.
• Tracks effectiveness of channel marketing programs, and recommends pricing, promotions and programs to meet sell through and return on investment goals.
• Develops and manages partner onboarding and communication programs and processes.
Forecasts, formulates, and manages partner market development funds & co-marketing budgets.
• Develops the event marketing strategy, identifies key tradeshows and marketing partnerships.
• Develops incentives to drive product & revenue opportunity growth across all channels.
• Analyzes sales reports and market trends, and identifies channels and account targets.
• Acts as liaison between executive management and sales organization to ensure marketing plans and sales activities coincide.
• Prepares and presents ongoing reports & dashboards to executive management.
REQUIREMENTS:
• Ten years telecom channel marketing experience to include a strong knowledge of cloud, network and fiber services.
• Ten years Carrier experience in a telecom environment.
• Exceptional critical thinking mindset
• Excellent organizational skills and detail-oriented
• Strong interpersonal skills communicating with outside vendors and co-workers
• Ability to delegate efficiently and manage internal channel teams
• Strategic thinking ability with balanced analytical and creative approach to planning
• Ability to anticipate business needs and new creative
• Demonstrated sales support performance in a telecom environment.
• Experience in building a sales and/or marketing organization is preferred.
• Demonstrated history of exceeding sales and/or marketing goals.
• Outstanding visual, verbal and written communication skills and experience presenting information to senior executives.
• 50% Travel
EDUCATION:
Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university preferred; or equivalent training, education and experience
